the italian bank accounts are really expensive compared to the UK like for example an HSBC account.
Here You can pay between 3 and 20 euros per month just for the bank account plus taxes, stamps etc.
I would suggest you to simply use your credit card if you've got enough credit of course!
I'm based between Lamezia Terme, Rome and London.....
I hope to be in Lamezia Terme when you'll be in Calabria. I'll be more than happy to spend a couple of hours with you showing the commercial center, furniture shops etc.

The reason for setting up a bank in Italy is so we can leave money in it for each time we visit and to enable us to buy items for the flat.
I thought it would be too expensive to use the cash machines or credit card.
Maybe I am being stupid and it is perhaps the wrong thing to do.
We are hoping too spend quite a lot of time Italy once the flat is completed.
We are hoping to learn the language whilst we are waiting for the completion of the flat.

we are doing our best to learn Italian at the moment.
We have 2 years but the clock is ticking!
We have just booked our flights for the 4th June for 6 days to check progress on the site!
Im sure we will meet up we joined the site as we were looking for the best place to buy our furniture would you believe.
