Renting your apartment

Hi Noreen,

The apartment is further south from Scalea. It is close to Lamezia Terme airport.

It is a 2 bedroom apartment, with a double sofa bed in the livingroom. also Kitchen/Living/Dining room, and a large balcony with beautiful sea views. The beach is directly across the road.

The complex is almost finished, but as yet there is no swimming pool.

There are hotels and restaurants 200 meters away. The apartment is situated between Gizzeria Lido and Falerna Marina.

Its about 1 and half hour drive to Reggio Calabria, where you can take the ferry to Sicily.

15 minutes away are Piso and Tropea.

Joan, hi, just seeing your message now!! The apt. is in Nocera Terinese Village. Do you know it? It is only 10 minutes from the airport. By the way, I sent Roberto Vescio an e mail but did not get any reply. Just wondering if his e mail address is still valid. I am planning trip to Calabria September 16 for 5 days to finish furnishing apt. etc. Will you be there?

Yes I know Nocera, not very well tho. I wont be there in September unfortunately, just came back from Falerna 5 days ago. Had a lovely time, tho it was very hot. Roberto is in Falerna at the moment, but I dont think internet access is very good there :( His mobile number is 0039 335 7722 965. Maybe you could send him a text. He has rented our apartment at the moment for 3 weeks, happy days !!!
Do you know where to buy your furniture etc? If you need any help regarding shops etc let me know.

Joan, I am late again in replying to your last message - very late. I am flying to Calabria on Wednesday. Would appreciate any advise/info you have on furniture shops in maybe lamezia or amantea?

Lucky you, wish I was going over too :)
You could try Mercatone Trony, in Mortilla, which is very near Gizzeria Lido, you will see signs for them there. They sell everything from teaspoons to kitchens, and all kinds of furniture. Theres a guy there called Gino who speaks english, you can catch him there most days, except wednesday.
There is a huge shopping centre called Due Mare, which is about a 10 min drive from Lamezia Terme on the Cantanzaro Road. This centre has lots of different shop , from electrical, furniture, clothes and also a huge Carrefourr the supermarket.
If you are going to Due Mare, follow signs for Cantanzaro at the big roundabout. As far as I remember, drive down this road for about 10 km. As far as i remember , you then take the second exit off it. Before the exit(about 1.5 km look out for a big Billboard/Sign for Volvo. When you see volvo take the next exit.

If you miss the turn its hard to get back to the shopping centre, so take it slow :)

Dont know amantea, but im told that there a lots of shops there.

Theu guy we are dealing with only rents apartments in Falerna/Nocera area. Not too sure where caulonia is, is it near vibo or further south.
