Push bikes

We have an apartment at La Brezza too - block B. It's the balcony with hopefully lots of plants growing on it if our watering system is working!
We had a week there in May and we're going again on 17th July to 3rd August. Looking forward to the heat!
Anyone know where we can buy push bikes from?
Hope to meet up with some of you in July.

We're In La Brezza, Block B also. We're 3rd Floor A. No Plants growing on our balcony :( What floor are you on?

We'll be over there from 22nd July till 10th August, with our 3 daughters. Im sure we'll meet up for a glass of vino.

You may be able to buy bikes in Mercatone Trony, near Gizzeria Lido, otherwise, I suggest going to Du Mare, the huge shopping centre, Im sure you'll get them there.

Thanks for advice about push bikes - they were the only places that we could think of too.

Are you paying for electricity and water yet? We have a meter but we're not sure what, if anything, we should do about them? Have you had any more news about when it's all likely to be finished and whether there will be a swimming pool/tennis courts etc.?

Hi Jane,

Was it you who gave me a lift to Falerna last year ??

The builder is still paying for electricity and water etc, and will continue to do so until the complex is finished and has been signed over to all the owners :)

At that stage we will have to stop using our air conditioning :( cos I believe its very expensive to run. We will also have to get a management company in to maintain the gardens pool etc. So that'll mean more money too :(

I heard from someone who is in the process of buying at the moment , that the completion for complex is feb 2010, but we'll see if that happens.

It was good to meet you and Caroline. We had glorious weather for the rest of our stay.
Have you been contacted by Bella Calabria re utility charges. They want to charge us 1140 Euros for a water and electricity meter. My understanding was that we would be on builders electric and water until the complex was finished. Bella Calabria have threatened to disconnect out supplies unless we pay these charges asap.Have you had similar threats?

Good to meet you too! It was a pity we had to return to work just as the weather improved, but we really enjoyed it anyway.
We haven't recieved anything from Bella Calabria and we were told that we would be on the builders services until the complex was finished. This is what the Italian families who have apartments there told us too. That seems an awlful lot too unless you've been living there?

Will you keep us posted about it please?

When are you next there? We are thinking of trying to have a few days in January.

We may go out end of January but it depends on the cost and convenience of flights.
We will definitely go for Easter.
I will keep you posted about the request for payment for utilities.
I checked our completion statement last night and we were definitely charged for utility connections when we completed.
I have scanned an emailed a copy of the statement to Bella Calabria and I am now awaiting there comments.

I got the same email for bella calabria. We paid utility connection fees when we completed at the notaries office, is the same bill or is it an extra. We are supposed to be on the builders electricity, till he leaves the site, and I dont think thats going to happen in the near future. Any idea what we can do ???

I will check my final invoice from the solicitor to see if I have paid it. If I think I have already paid then I will scan a copy and send to Bella Calabria. I have emailed them this afternoon to explain why I am being asked to pay this when other people have not received anything to date. I have also asked the question as to why we need to pay this now as I was under the impression that we would be on builders utilities until the complex was complete.

Hi Gail,
I emailed BC also, The email I got was very strange, the language was very broken english, and the bill itself was in very strange format.
Mary Bryce hasnt received anything from them yet, but she;ll keep in touch.

We dealt with Italian connection, so I wonder why Bella Calabria is contacting us. We have nothing to do with them. I also asked them who gave BC permission to pay our bill in advance, cos I certainly didn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
